Brilliant, but content not always suitable for younger children. This is a fantastic book. I bought it for my six year old who savoured every page. A word of warning though. There are some fairly adult and gory issues (the holocaust, skulls, tales of witches drinking the blood of children etc). With younger children (under 10/11), you may wish to supervise reading.

A brilliant guide to everywhere! A brilliant resource. I bought it for my 9 year old’s birthday but I love it as much as he does. There is a page or two devoted to every country in the world, there are some I’d never heard of…Interesting details about each country are given making this a perfect book for someone young to read independently, although the print is a little bit on the small side. You can learn a lot from this book, it opens your eyes to all the amazing things happening all over the globe, fascinating stuff.

Lovely book for whole family Excellent. We use this once a week when we’re cooking a meal from a different country. Nice and visual for the kids but doesn’t shy away from some of the more difficult aspects of history etc.
