Norway’s new ways not included Handy and excellent in what it covered, but Norway seems to be changing fast and we kept running into museums and attractions that were not in the guide so maybe either would benefit from more frequent updates – which is probably commercially unviable – or have the cost include access to a curated website giving feedback from other travellers and new content from Lonely Planet writers…

Good overall Norway Travel Guide, limited info on Northern Lights I originally purchased this for an upcoming trip to Norway. Unfortunately Lonely Planet dont seem to have a city guide to Oslo, likely due to the smaller size of Oslo. I did find this a very insightful book and very accurate. I was interested in knowing more about where I could travel for a chance to see the Northern Lights, I felt this edition lacked any meaningful information about the Lights and ended up having to do endless online research to find what I was looking for.

Fantastic Guide for the Fjords and more An excellent guide to help find your way around all cities, towns and hamlets throughout Norway. This guide was extremely helpful in my two week journey taking advantage of “allemannsretten” when travelling through the Western Fjords. In the guide you will find names and contact details of restaurants, bars, hotels, tourist offices and supermarkets – everything that you could possibly need. Highly recommended if you need something to refer to while on tour.
