California Love I spent 12 days in California and this book (2018 version) was an absolute God send in planning the trip and again whilst I was there. I used this book, along with internet research, to help shape my entire trip and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The comments they give on restaurants are spot on, as are the activity and hotel recommendations. The book is also full of lots of useful tips on basic etiquette in certain situations such as tipping, as well as route planning…

The intineraries are super useful and gives you an idea of how long … Lonely Planet never fails to dissapoint. This book has really helped us plan our 3 week trip around California. The intineraries are super useful and gives you an idea of how long is a good amount of time to spend in each place.

Worst guide. Ever. The worst guide ever – bland, busy pages with too much content, majorly lacking visuals, and headings that are easily missed. Also, the actually content is ‘scrimpy’. You’re better off with Tripadvisor.
