Brilliant book that feels like a friend in your corner. This is exactly the book that I needed to read right now as an adoptive parent. On every page was something that spoke directly to the parenting and trauma challenges that we’re facing now and we might face in the future. Reading it is like having a chat with a friend who totally gets it and we all need more of that in our lives.

Brilliant Not your usual platitude-infested parenting advice book. Sally gets to grips with the realities of parenting children who have experienced unthinkable loss and trauma with warmth, wit and honesty. If you’ve read any of her other books, you’ll know that the decision to get this one is a no-brainer. If you haven’t then I can only recommend that you but those as well.

Fabulous book Love this book, honest and down to earth, a great endorsement for therapeutic parenting. Very relatable and a useful addition to the therapeutic tool box.
