I imagine that boys and girls who enjoy adventure would love this – the protagonists are a … I bought this months ago but have only just read it – I shall definitely be reading it to my class as each chapter ends on a cliffhanger. I notice that it is JM Forster’s first book. I can feel a series growing from this. The reason I have given it four stars and not five is that my personal preference would have preferred to have seen more descriptive language; moreover, the plot starts off well, but the final third lacks some authenticity. Great read for young teens A great book which covers the effects of a broken marriage on a young teenager but wraps it up in an adventure to keep the reader interested without getting too heavy into the trauma it can cause. It gets the message across really well and is well written with great description throughout.
