Disappointing….. I really wanted to love this book, but sadly I can’t even say I liked it. For the price the paper quality is poor, photos of the food are often blurred, if it was for artistic effect then it failed, I want to see the meal, not use imagination. The recipes are uninspiring, we all know how to make salad with iceberg lettuce & tomatoes! And frying food?? Might be plant based but hardly healthy. I’m afraid this book missed the mark by a mile for me.
Opened my eyes to healthy eating! This book has opened my eyes to healthy eating and cooking from scratch with vegetables. I am not a vegan but was looking for a healthier lifestyle and the recipes within ‘Health on the Hob’ have really helped me find delicious and interesting tastes. The photographs are very enticing and really help ensure I know what I’m aiming for with my culinary efforts! All in all a lovely book and one that I will use over and over again.
