New SPEC text ! I purchased this textbook as it is a subject I am teaching and the school did not have enough copies for me to use one of those.The text is clear and straightforward and well set out for the modular study of the course. I refer the students to the sections and arrange my lessons in the same order so as to make cross-reference and background reading easy to follow.It is written with the course in mind so one would expect it to be accurate and appropriate.
Try for the first exam and the resit, go to both if you lecturers are puting on revision classes go, fight & try to win this is a book that is required for one small group of individuals and they know who they are, all i’m going to say to them is that try hard on your unit 1 and unit 2 exam because both of them are difficult, like i failed them both by 1 mark(I know one mark and if i didn’t have a resit i would of wasted a year) so i knew that this along with the revision guide were extremely helpful but to me i jus did both of my exams last week(this is the resits) and i feel more confident that i at the very…
Diagrams are generally good / useful though there are insufficient activities OK in terms of coverage though I have some doubts about the Unit 5 material on discrimination. Coverage of some topics is also very brief and will need adding to. Diagrams are generally good / useful though there are insufficient activities. It would also have helped to map the content to the specification a little more clearly. Despite this, it provides fairly good coverage of units 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 11 and 14.
