Woodland Craft
Accompany woodsman Ben Law as he celebrates the amazing diversity of craft products made from materials sourced directly from the woods. Including brooms, rakes, pegs, spoons, chairs, baskets, fencing, yurts and even a caravan, the items are hewn from freshly cut green wood, shaped by hand and infused with a simple, rustic beauty. Tree-rific Really detailed info and pictures. Foreword by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. Comprehensive guide to certain trees included. Very inspiring. Brilliant cover and pictures.I also bought The Woodland Year because I like that i can dip into it and think about what i might need to do in the woodland at a certain time of year.
Full of useful and interesting facts Lovely book. Arrived the next day after ordering it. Full of useful and interesting facts. Nicely illustrated. Highly recommended for any one interested in Woodland Crafts.
Accessible and hopeful guide to greenwood crafts and products. Yet another fabulous book from ben, I have pretty much all the books of a similar ilk. This one packages woodland crafts in a much more accessible and comprehensive way than has been done before. The illustrations are great and Bens obvious love and passion for what he does with a future proofing sustainable philosophy which underpins all his work. Mike Abbots books go into a lot more detail but I think this one is aimed at a different market.
