easy to read and folow I have bought a few of these types of books as I wanted to create some activities for groups of children I work with. This is simply the best one. The detail in understanding some trees is enough to get you started and wanting to find out more. The projects are well explained, interesting and very achievable for both adults and children with little or no experience in using knives, saws etc in the wild. I fully recommend this book for anyone who wants to start whittling or carving with…

Brilliant for kids & adults whittling projects What is there not to like about this book?! Everything from how to use tools, sharpen them, and many fun and achievable whittling projects for both adults and children. Illustrated clearly and attractively. Unless I missed something, the only thing missing was advice on whether to use green or seasoned wood, but I guess you have to try both.
