Practical Recipes for Cooking at Home This book is very much like a development of “Gordon Ramsey – Makes It Easy”. Very centred around the home kitchen, the recipes in this quality book are all achievable and practical for the home cook preparing dishes for family and dinner guests. I like the breakdown of the book- chapters include Breakfasts – Soups – Salads – Afternoon Pick-Me-Ups – Kitchen Suppers – Friends for Dinner and lastly Puddings. The Friends for Dinner section is where it all gets serious but there is nothing that can’t be handled by an amateur cook, whilst the other sections have got all sorts of interesting quick recipes that do the job.
Really useful for the home cook who wants to up their … Really useful for the home cook who wants to up their game but not get bogged down with fancy gourmet recipes. This is the first recipe book that has got me cooking several recipes in one week. I particularly like the feeling you get that Gordon is in the kitchen with you. I have found the way the procedure steps are laid out really helpful as Gordon explains WHY you need to do something in a certain way. There are also hints and tips – not too many that you get side-tracked but just enough to keep you going. The family are most impressed and I have got a new lease of interest in cooking. I can recommend it.
