Kwoklyn is a third-generation Chinese chef: BBC (British-Born Chinese). He’s also the brother of TV celebrity Gok Wan and both boys grew up working in their family’s Cantonese Restaurant in Leicester in the 1970s.  He has spent years perfecting recipes for Chinese dishes that taste like the ones from your local takeaway kitchen or restaurant. The book features 70 classic dishes, everything from sweet and sour chicken to char siu, prawn toast to chop suey, egg-fried rice to crispy seaweed – and most of them can be on the table in 20 minutes or less. Great for all the family.. Literally brought this book because it had an interesting cover (I know, I know……) that is completely made up information, The Author claims to be a chef of Chinese cuisine (not actually true, he claims to have a love of Chinese cuisine!) His expertise comes from working with his family, mainly his father in the family run Chinese takeaway, a student of passion handed down through 3 generations of WAN! First recipe down and am extremely impressed not only with the ease of cooking following the straightforward instructions but the food tastes even better than my local takeaway. This book is fantastic, not only does it have the best most funky cover ever 😂 inside you will find the most amazing array of delicious recipes you would ever need, well illustrated easy to follow, it’s got all your favourite Chinese takeaway dishes and more, even a Curry an all time favourite of mine, its a must have for any Chinese food lover, Well done on the book Kwoklyn and thank you for sharing your family’s recipes
