Very superficial. Not much positive to say about this other than it’s the only game in town specifically for WJEC GCSE. That said, the CGP OCR revision guide is actually much more use and the curricula are very similar for all the exam boards at least as far as the theory part goes. Programming is more variable as there are different options for Python, VB etc but that really demands hands-on teaching anyway. Algorithm design, pseudocode, bassic assembly language is covered in all courses and the CGP book is…
Uncluttered pages, good; no index, bad. Had already purchased OCR CGP equivalent and thought Iâd better buy this one as itâs the right exam board and teaching at school has been poor. Good: uncluttered appearance compared to CGP and the questions at end of each section seem like realistic exam questions. Bad: no properly useful index/glossary. The whole subject is dull for me and, unfortunately, my child. Maybe this book will help to scrape a pass.
Excellent Excellent book according to my daughter….
