Another classic and must have book A follow on from the Gruffalo but can be read in it’s own right.Julia Donaldson/Axel Scheffler books are works of art. The stories are written beautifully, rhyming with a rhythm that sets the pace. This ensures that as an adult I do not get bored reading the same stories over and over again as the more familiar the story becomes the more I can work on my expression and how I deliver giving me almost as joyful an experience as that of my son listening to them. Excellent Board Book We love board books at our house. We have quite a few of them and use read/re-read them all the time. They are in between paper and hardback books and can take quite a bit of wear and tear with toddlers We are on to our second child with board books and they still look good (not brand new but a paperback would not classed as a book at the same stage). Would highly recommend these.

A brilliant book; a must-have for every child. This book, along with “Stick Man” and “The Gruffalo” are staples of modern childhood. If you’re looking to buy a book as a present for a young child – go with one of these. Our daughter loves them. The text is beautifully written with great rhythm, and the illustrations are magical.The ‘Board book’ format is brilliant, as they’re pretty hard-wearing, but little ones can easily turn the pages without the crumpling or tearing that inevitably happens with paperback…
