Adds detail about the artistic side of photography I think this is one of the best photography books I have read (and I have a good collection of books to draw on). It is extremely well written, with some very good explanations of some of the more technical sides of picture making. I particularly like the emphasis on the creative side, and how to determine the mood and impact of an image, and more importantly, the emotional response from the viewer. Fantastic advice for beginner and intermediate landscape photographers. Ross Hoddinott writes perfectly for the beginner and intermediate photographer. Full of fantastic photographs and advice on how to improve your landscape photography this is not a coffee table book full of images but no information, this book is full of clearly written advice that you can put into practice next time you venture out with the camera.
Helpfull book for beginners/advanced Very good book for beginners and advanced. This is a continuation of their first book so does not deal with equipment/settings in great detail but focuses more on improving you pictures through various processes such as composition and light
